The Scarabim are a class of being in Balance between the Angelic and
the Demonic, and have aptly been nicknamed Death's Children. Thoroughly uninterested in the affairs of the Living, they are impartial,
functioning as the Right Hand of Death itself.
Summoned by the call of the dying, they pierce an entrapped Spirit
with their arrows, freeing it from the physical body (and hense, the physical plain) to go on to continue it's destiny,
be that what it may. They will also act as Guides, leading the newly freed Spirit to it's next point of Departure.
A Spirit with unfinished business in this world may elude the Scarabim,
until such time as it's Purpose is fulfilled and it is ready to move on.
A Spirit cannot move on until the Scarabim pay it a visit, and a
Spirit untouched by the Sarabim is not yet truly Dead.... or at rest.
